Mythology is it fact or just a myth?

Mythology is a fascinating blend of historical events, cultural traditions, religious beliefs, and imaginative storytelling. While the term "myth" often implies something untrue or fictitious, myths serve important functions in societies. They often embody the moral and ethical values of a culture, explain natural phenomena, and offer insights into the human experience.

In Indian mythology, for instance, epics like the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, as well as the stories of gods and goddesses in texts like the Puranas, are revered and have profound cultural and religious significance. While these stories may contain supernatural elements and fantastical events, they also reflect the beliefs, values, and historical context of ancient Indian society.

So, mythology is not "just a myth" in the sense of being purely imaginary or false. It is a rich tapestry of stories and symbols that carry deep meaning and wisdom, often reflecting the lived experiences and aspirations of the people who created them.

What we can say is since it's so mystical and beyond our perception, that our logical mind wants to label it as a myth. In any case, it is massive information that can inspire and ignite passion in children, let's get them geared towards the teachings, on priority basis.
